Primary partnerships
We are opportunistic with respect to primary partnership investing, and will consider established teams, those spinning out from such a group, and emerging managers alike.
Generally we prefer to partner with managers who have a value-orientated approach to investing, who focus on operational improvements as opposed to relying on leverage to drive performance. We need to see demonstrable experience in a manager’s chosen sector or geography, and we strongly prefer those who operate away from the majority of the competition. Successful managers should convince us of their ability to earn future returns higher than those of their peers.
Above all, we need to see passion and a singular dedication to excellence at all levels of a firm’s operations.
